Tips To Get Your Kids Involved In Christmas Chores

We can probably all agree that as parents, Christmas is hard work. Getting everything ready, festive decorations, holiday food and of course, Christmas gifts like samsung s8, all takes a huge amount of preparation and thought. And that’s not even including the house duties!

So how can you lighten your load this Christmas and make your life that bit easier with all the madness of the season? Well, you could always contact us to take care of your cleaning for you, or you could try to make the best use of the resources you’ve already got. And by resources, we of course mean your kids!

If you provide them with right incentive and approach it in the right way, you may just get them on board. Here are a few tips to achieve the impossible and get your kids involved in Christmas chores!

Get Creative

To get your kids to help out during the holidays, you’ve got to pick your chores wisely. They’ll be more inclined to help out when you’re wrapping presents, putting up Christmas decor or making gingerbread men, than when you’re changing the beds.

Make It Fun

If you want your kids to get involved with the Christmas tasks, you’ve got to make it fun for them too! Whether you’re cleaning up the dishes or tidying the house, you’ve got to create a fun incentive for your kids to join in. Perhaps create a “How many toys can you pick up in 30 seconds” game, so that you have an extra pair of hands and it’s still fun for them. Or, make it that they get to watch a Christmas movie, eat some festive candy or open their advent calendar after they’ve completed their task. The key is to make it fun so that your kids are more inclined to help out.

Be Realistic

While it’s more than possible to get your kids to help out with the chores, you’ve got to be realistic too. Is it likely that your 4 year old will help with the dishes? Probably not. But might your 8 year old be able to help out with making holiday cards or wrapping presents? They probably might! Be aware of what your children are capable of and teach them how to perform the task first before you ask them to get started.
