As we’re well into the vacation period, you might be running out of ideas to keep your kids occupied at the beach. Whether you’re keeping it local at English Bay or you’re planning an exotic holiday to the Bahamas, here’s some of PCC Cleaning’s favourite beach activities for kids!
1) Beach Art
If your kids love collecting pretty shells, take their creativity to the next level with beach art! They’ll love showing off their artistic side & it’ll make a great addition to the beach photos too! Give them a hand by outlining a shape in the sand and get them to fill it in with beautiful shells, or leave it to them to see where their imagination takes them!
2) Build A Sand Castle
While you may reserve sand castles for younger kids, we think it’s fun at any age! Challenge your kids to make an elaborate castle with detailed features, or set a time limit so they can compete against one another! The winner gets an ice cream of their choice!
3) Scavenger Hunt
Challenge your kids with a scavenger hunt! This is a great way to keep them occupied and help them to learn about coastal nature & wildlife. Start with easier items, such as shells and rocks, and gradually move on to starfish and crabs!
4) Beach Relay
Keep the kids active & happy with a fun beach relay! Set out start and end points with rocks or seaweed, and create obstacle courses whereby they have to jump, roll or carry buckets full of water (& not spill them)!
