Vacuum Just As The Professionals Do

Vacuum Just As The Professionals Do

When it comes to using the vacuum most of us are not using the provided attachments correctly. If we are even using them at all. Today I want to share with you the proper instructions on what each tool is for and maybe help get your cleaning days running a little smoother.

 Attachments

As you probably already know each vacuum comes with a different set of tools. Some of these attachments we are talking about today you will have and some you will not. Since we want to be of the utmost help, we will be sticking to what we feel are the most common attachments found on almost all vacuum cleaners.

Dust Brush Tool: This soft bristle round brush works best when used to dust off window sills, counter-tops, shelving, lamp shades and blinds. Therefore eliminating the need to get out a cloth and bucket of water for dusting before you vacuum.

(YES!! If you plan on wet dusting those items, we are suggesting you do so before getting the vacuum out. This will eliminate you having to vacuum twice.)

Crevice Tool: This skinny, slightly angled tool is ideal for getting into those nooks and crannies that other tools cannot easily reach. Run it along baseboards and into vents. Or use it to clean out the underside of your fridge by getting in between the coils underneath.

Heading out tonight and need some quick cash? This tool is also the perfect spare change finder when you use it to clean in between couch cushions.

Extension Tool: The tool that gives you extended reach so you can snag the dust that collects way up high in the corners of your ceilings or tucks in behind all your appliances. You know the stuff that drives you crazy and makes you sneeze?

Also, the added benefit to using this tool means not having to risk your life by climbing up on a chair in order to reach up high.

CLEANING TIP –

Dropped something small and light that you cannot seem to reach with your hands? Take a piece of nylon pantyhose and stretch it over the end of your extension tool securely with an elastic band. Turn on the vacuum and use the attachment to pick up your out of reach items.

VacuumUpholstery Tool: The wide upholstery tool which is most often equipped with a lint remover end makes the perfect piece for getting rid of lint and dust from your fabric furniture.

Don’t forget the Mattress

VacuumMattress Tool: If you are anything like me you are all about removing as many dust and allergens as you can from your mattress. Therefore, let me introduce you to your mattress tool. Just what you need to get the job done.

Vacuum

Ceiling Fan Tool: Many of us forget about the dust that builds up on top of our fan blades. That is until we turn them on of course and the dust blows everywhere. With this handy tool you will be able to swipe it all off every time you vacuum before the dust has a chance to build up.

– CLEANING TIP –

Keep your blinds clean with the ceiling fan tool. Perfect for vacuuming them off in between major wet washes.

In conclusion, using your vacuum attachments properly will have you cleaning more efficiently. As a result this will save you countless hours of time and frustration.
